I am a Ph.D. candidate in Operations Management at the School of Economic and Trade, Hunan University, currently visiting at the University of Texas at Dallas. I received my M.A. in Applied Economics from Hunan University and my B.E. in Automation from Zhengzhou University.
Digital platforms increasingly shape markets not only through products, prices, and algorithms, but also through the information they choose to generate, design, and disclose. My research seeks to understand this emerging phenomenon by studying how retail platforms strategically design information to influence market participants and market outcomes. Drawing on the information design (Bayesian persuasion) framework, together with game theory and information economics, I develop analytical models to examine how information can serve as a strategic operational instrument. My work is motivated by the information practices of leading retail platforms such as Amazon and JD.com, including demand forecasting, strategic information disclosure, certification systems, and other information mechanisms that influence supplier decisions, consumer behavior, and market performance. Looking ahead, I aim to build a broader research agenda on platform information design, exploring how digital platforms design information across commercial and societal settings. My long-term interests include information mechanisms for sustainable operations, ESG disclosure, certification systems, and trustworthy AI, with the goal of developing theories that are both analytically rigorous and practically relevant.
